Here is his response to our invitation. I wanted to present this so you can decide for yourself regarding his rationale for not attending…with 17 days notice….. \n“Dear Mr. Burns: \nWe are in receipt of your invitation below\, and thank you for thinking of us\, and more specifically\, David Xiao\, our PCAA candidate. I brought t…his issue up at our Campaign Meeting last night\, and after quite some deliberation it was unanimously decided\, with David Xiao present\, that this would not be the highest and best use of Mr. Xiao’s time. The times suggested are prime door-knocking hours\, and Mr. Xiao\, who is looking to accomplish a third term\, vastly prefers one-on-one conversations with constituents\, and this is a continuation of his face-to-face efforts in which he has been engaged for the past 6 years. At the rate at which he makes his rounds\, the forum timing would prevent him from meeting a substantial number of constituents\, who generally also want to spend time with Mr. Xiao.
