LEARN TO SKATE – brought to you by the City of Edmonton and Rio Terrace Community League
The Rio Terrace Community League is lucky to host the City of Edmonton with their Learn to Skate program. Fun is the focus of this free, drop-in skating program.
This free program lasts for 3 hours from 4:00 to 7:00 on Fridays from January 7 to February 17at the community league hall rink located at 15500 76 Avenue.
Children aged 6-12 can try out various basic skating skills at their own pace through on-ice games and activities. Trained leaders will be on hand to adapt the program to the age and skill level of the participants.
Please note:
Participants must have their own skates
A CSA approved helmet is required
Participants under the age of 5 must be accompanied by an adult
The program will be cancelled at -23 degrees Celsius with the wind-chill and when the temperature is above 2 degrees Celsius
