Friends and Neighbours-
Rio Terrace Church is opening a Community Ice Cream Stand! It will be run in the Church’s parking lot, adjacent to Poyser Park at 15108 76 Ave NW. Come with your kids, furry companions, friends, and neighbours for an ice cool treat or after dinner desert, and stay for an evening in the park. From June 26-Labor Day, the Stand will be open daily from 3-9 pm. Its purpose is to promote community spirit, help people get to know their neighbours, serve delicious Foothills Creamery Ice Cream, and raise money for the Community Spray Deck and the Church’s Solar Panel project.
Flavours will change daily, and there will always be a kid-friendly offering. $3 for the first scoop, $2 for each additional scoop. Cash and Credit Cards (but not debit) accepted.
A fun way to get to know your neighbours is to volunteer! Our Ice Cream Stand is people powered. You may volunteer as an individual, as a couple, or with friends, for a two hour shift. (We’d love it if you made it a regular thing, too!) All volunteers get to enjoy the beautiful Alberta summers, seeing friendly faces, and, well, ice cream. If you are interested in volunteering, please find more info here: http://doodle.com/poll/qth2rmpd3syv95cf If you have any questions, please contact pastor James at jlavoy@gmail.com or (780) 487-0211.
